My photo
Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

On Death Row

I was very excited today,
because I picked the very first raspberry
of the season.
I have a heritage variety, which fruits in Autumn.

If last year is anything to go by,
this will be the first of many over several weeks.

The berry was placed in solitary confinement...
on death row.

The Cook carried out the execution.

Going by the look on her face,
after she finished the task,
I know she enjoyed it.

Poor little raspberry!

  5. I LOVE rasberries and a few tucked away here and there so when I'm working in the garden, I've got a snack handy. One in particular has been drip feeding me for months. You were very generous to share with The Cook though....

  7. Ha! My blueberry bush produced it's first lonely little blueberry a little while back. But I didn't tell anyone and ate it myself... Wouldn't want arguments. I like that last photo. New camera works.
