I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!
Perhaps you are trying to keep the cook in? Hard to tell how high that fence is but it looks high and I don't think your goats have learnt to climb ladders yet so perhaps it is for them.
We're in Brisbane on acreage and its been like living on a waterbed that's sprung leaks everywhere. today is the first bit of sun in 10 days. Apparently even more rain than during the floods last year. So the veggie patch should be in for some serious growth... But I think your tackling the first thing on your to do list, given the height of that fence...
The rain was more than welcomed by our garden, the dam, the paddocks...but not the horses or chickens. Funny that!
ReplyDeleteHmm garden project.... there are no high voltage electrical lines involved so nothing to do with the goats. Another chicken run?
A new chicken house....I think you have been inspired by Phoebes beautiful chook house door havnt you Hazel...?

ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting some rain. We've had enough for a while here.
ReplyDeleteMy guess for the project is the top of your to do list???
Aww thanks Suzanne! I reckon its a fence for your veggies to keep the naughty goats at bay!
ReplyDeleteI wish! Not a drop in Melton. Still dry as a bone and have to water every day. Tanks getting down to about half full now, so getting worried.
ReplyDeleteGav x
We had a lovely drop of rain too, 1 inch thank you very much, the garden has come back to life after the heat nearly finished it off!
ReplyDeleteKnowing you Hazel, the mystery project will be something very interesting lol.
