My photo
Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

DON'T...

...go away for a week and leave your fork stuck
in the garden.  It may be colonised!

 And do not expect paths...
...even wide paths designed to take a large wheelbarrow,
to remain unscathed either!
Some plants are always looking for new territory to explore.

You can forget strolling down a narrow path in the veggie patch.
This one is completely invaded and impassable!

Yes, I have a new camera
and didn't The Cook do a sterling job
of watering while I was away?!

  7. Amen! I've had people think they were watering for me but really they only get everything a bit wet on top. That is a heart's delight to come home to.
