My photo
Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

  4. Oh yes, pretty flowers, but what I'd REALLY like to see is the photo of you flat on your back on the ground to get that last picture.

Can the cook please start up her own blog? "Photos of Hazel Dene"???

  5. Hi Hazel
I have been enjoying your posts for a few months now and feel I must pop in and say hi - it feels so rude not to introduce myself .... so Hi my name is Ally and I am trying to be as self sufficient as possible on my 1/2 acre in Sth East Qld. I am trying to leave only a soft footprint, so make my own soap, laundry liquid, clean green, sew, cook and grow anything that will be eaten by humans or chooks, upcycle, recycle. I raise three like minded daughters and convince my hubby that I really am not a reincarnated hippy. but he secretly loves it, i;m sure ...

  6. My sons favourite flowers are everlastings - he's just under 2 but obviously has good taste (or perhaps its that I know they're not poisonous so I've always let him have them....)its a miracle he hasn't injured himself on them though - they aren't the most tactile of flowers are they?
