I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!
Autumn is bittersweet for me...on one hand it is absolutely gorgeous all the showy colours the leaves give us but then the dark side of me thinks it's their final show before death! Now am I in a morbid frame of mind or what????
Oh Mrs Bok! Their job is done, and they will give their goodness back to the soil...and then there will be more next year. No need to feel sad...and they do it in such a theatrical way...no quick death scene for them. LOL.
Your Fall colour is lovely. The UK is going into Summer, you're going into Fall - bet the temperature outside is about the same! Are you an all weather, year round gardener?

ReplyDeleteWhat a great array of colours on that tree - and what a shame that all those leaves will shortly drop off just when they are their most impressive.
