I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!
That Hazel, is.....your beautiful curtain covering your brassicas ( why does that word always remind me of my nana saying 'brassieres'...?) with the drops of dew showing underneath....
You are all too clever! Anon recognised the hydrangea and yes, it is the wedding veil over the broccoli. However, it isn't there any more as I took it off yesterday...I haven't seen any of the butterflies around for a few weeks so i am going to take a chance. Although sheer, I am sure it cuts the light down a bit and, at this time of the year, they need all the light they can get.
I'm too late to enter the guessing game, but when I first saw your picture I was reminded of a photo I took back in January of frozen raindrops on my (plastic) garden table... http://marksvegplot.blogspot.com/2011/01/midwinter-colour.html

EM is so clever!
ReplyDeleteIt's nothing of the kind! It's your shower floor covered in water droplets because you keep the screen door shut to keep out the goats.
