Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Improving the Spa Facility

Yesterday, between showers, I cleared the rustic steps down to the property's spa.  The spa facility is a little full at the moment with all the rain but will be wonderful for paddling and sitting in later in the Summer.

Now, at least, we can get to it without wading through waist high grass with who knows who living in it.

You could imagine from this picture that Bazza and Bubba did all the work.  Wrong,  they just came down when I pulled the camera out.

They are very fast learners in the useless animal parade we have going here.

Bazza thought it would be funny to stand on top of the pump box.
This is the pump that brings the water from the creek up to the sprinkler system in the garden...and into the house tank if we run out of rain water.

Never to be outdone by her big brother, Bubba clambered into the pump box with the pump.

And of course, Brewster and the girls came out to cluck some advice from up on the top of the bank.

Thanks for all your help everyone!

  1. Oh they do ,love to perch, goats.Balancing on mountain sides is in their genes they can't resist it.I used to keep an old washing machine drum for the purpose.
You did a great job on that clearing, when are you coming to do ours?
Have a fun day and fabulous rain.

  3. I have bought my wife some spa vouchers as a Christmas present. I don't think she would be overly impressed to find the spa looking like yours! your goats are obviously great characters, and good companny for you. They seem to behave nore like dogs sometimes.

  4. Our neighbours goat climbs a high branch in the willow tree and stands there until a passing motorist takes its photo! Then it has to back its way down - very amusing!
