Wood is wood - but comes in a variety of forms.

I am grateful to the local road crews who brought me 11 cubic metres of free mulch and then came back later with firewood. I am enrolled to do a chainsaw course at the local community house. Those big logs will provide me with lots to practise my new skills on.

There is another load of firewood promised so I won't need to buy any for quite some time. I also have a couple of fantastic brothers in law who gave me some small wood to get the fire started when I was visiting on the weekend. Looks like a warm winter ahead.
