I've been out taking photos for the local mag, again. This time at a musical event to promote the local community radio station. There was a good range of music: folk, blues, country, instrumental, solo singer-guitarists and groups as well as a couple of young rock bands.
I loved this one called, Temple.
It got me thinking about aging.
I am not the sort of person who worries about, 'getting old'.
I think each stage of life has its merits.
But the energy these guys had and the rockin music they played,
did have me thinking I wouldn't mind being seventeen again...
just for a while.
I think I am a bit in love with the lead singer.
It isn't carnal affection...
just love for his joyful youth,
energy, and enthusiasm.
Look he even has
a cleft in his chin!
would be nice to be seventeen, but just for little while - I do love my life right now!
ReplyDelete17 and and know what I know now!!! Nothing like live music to gladden the soul.
ReplyDeleteYes I'm with Lydia. I couldn't bear to go back to the 17 I was but if I knew what I know now it'd be pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't expecting to see a band in your blog, lovely surprise!! We like attending gigs, wouldn't mind watching them if they were near!
ReplyDeleteHazel, are you up to your old tricks again? Putting the word "lust" into the post title may attract the wrong sort of visitors to your blog, but it will certainly boost your pageview stats!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the 17-year-old probably has acne too...
I went to see some music on the weekend for the first time in ages, like you I saw some young lads doing their thing. As I was pretending I was a good 20 years younger I developed a small crush on the lead singer. The thing that really struck me though was how nice it was to see young boys really passionate about something.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to be 17 again...but 26 yes! With everything I know now.
