My photo
Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Gulp!

Just received an email from The Cook saying the 'viney thing in the greenhouse' (I think she means my gorgeous cucumber) is looking a 'bit yellow'.  It is horrible when your kids are sick and you can't minister to their needs.  I will probably lose sleep over this one.  Arrgh!

  2. Hazel, it's so grey and wet in eastern Australia that everything is looking a bit yellow. I know I am and possibly the Cook is too. The cuke will perk up.

  3. Totally understand. I never want to go away in Spring again! All Winter holidays from now on so I don't have to fret about my garden.

  4. I don't know why this is making me giggle, but it is. I can just see your face go grey halfway around the world.

People who take international holidays obviously need to make sacrifices :D

  5. Why Ali! I can feel the love from here...you are so, so compassionate! You also need to know that I had another email and my seedlings have carked it because the Cook slept in on a hot day and didn't vent the greenhouse. Boo hoo hoo! Poor little broccoli. Mind you, I am not sorry I came over. I am having a lovely time with my son and DIL and the kids. Although it has taken till today for my grand daughter to stop screaming every time I am within three metres of her. LOL
