I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!
I am so glad that your Kookaburra sculpture sits high above Hazel's Folly - he has find his home! Happy 1st September! Winter seems such a long time ago.
Beautiful pics Hazel and I can appreciate your sentiments, but to be honest I loooooove Winter and all it's foggy, grey, chilliness..........
I will be sad to say goodbye to hot chocolates and marshmallows, sitting by the heater at night, yummy casseroles and all the other things synonymous with the cooler weather.
But Spring is here and it's just as beautiful. Looking forward to all it brings.
You lucky things... Here in the UK we are just entering the season of "mists and mellow fruitfulness". We didn't get much of a Summer this year. I just hope the Winter will not be too severe.
I just tried my translate to english button on the blog for the last line of your post, but it didnt work.....
