My photo
Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Reflections

It was a drippy day here yesterday...
even the daisies went to sleep early.

Puddles everywhere....

On the drive,

on lemon leaves...

on the tins in the veggie garden...

on top of the goats feed bin...

and under the guttering on the carport....

Mmmm....might have to do something about that leak.

This is the calm before the storm.
Lots of visitors expected in the next week and a half.
I may even subject you to a couple of guest bloggers.

  1. We seem to have escaped the rain the past couple of days. Which is good because I've been getting outside to mosaic that old washer that brought back bad memories for you. Hope you enjoy your visitors. Looking forward to a guest blog.

  2. Yes, its been rather dreary after the relatively warmer weather that we have been having! What happened to that wild weather that was forecast? Did you get it?

  5. Gloating a little: for once, the Wimbledon tennis tournament was hardly affected by weather - that tells you that the British summer has been better than normal so far! Very little rain recently, and daytime temps round about 20 - 22C.

  6. No rain for us just a very cold wind.

  7. Does look quite wintry where you live. (I will always have this idea that all of Australia has perfect weather all year round.) Winter Wed is a great idea, maybe we could keep it going in the UK when its summer in Australia and witner in UK. Love your cats on the sofa at top of blog. Also your dog sitting on chair (few posts ago) looks 'head of the house'. You have quite the extended family (animals included)!

  8. Looks like you've had more rain than us. I even had to water the garden yesterday. Got a bit more this afternoon so not more watering for a couple of days I think.

We seemed to have missed out on the wind here...but rained again today and is pretty wet underfoot.
VG Looking forward to seeing the washing machine.

Gloat away, Mark. Even in the middle of winter here, I don't think it is as cold as you get in Spring and Autumn. LOL.

Kelly, in all honesty it is very temperate here...but where I live we do have distinct seasons with very hot summers and cold (but not often freezing) winters.
