My photo
Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Now a burglary!

We are trying to be philosophical about the fowl fox.
Thank you for all your kind comments on yesterday's post.

However it feels as if we lurching from one disaster to another.

One day this week Rose
a blogger I have previously respected

They seemed simple enough...even for me.

So after my shower,
I left the shower door open,
and also opened the bathroom window
to let the room dry and air.

We were burgled!

Well, I will let the pictures tell the sad story!

Casing the joint

Over-riding the security system

Checking the coast is clear

The rest of the gang

'There's nothing worth stealing!

Now...I will have to clean
the hoof prints off the window sill.

Thanks Rose!

  1. I have to tell the story of Ishtar, our first (and last) goat, who would brave an electric fence, jump a wire fence, push over a paling fence, pretend she couldn't help tangling herself so pitifully on a tether, or just pull up the stake....all so she could break into the house (doorknobs no obstacle)and climb into our bed. No matter what we did, we would come home to find her happily chewing her cud amongst a little circle of goat poo in our bed. Goats are way too smart!

  3. I love your goats, Hazel! But they would get up to no good here. We are forever guilty of leaving keys in the car (and sometimes with horse float attached) So I can just see your goats speeding down the road with the windows down, stereo blaring with a horse float in tow and wearing their Rayban Wayfarer sunglasses.

    To/Two/Too gorgeous little troublemakers!

I hate to think what they are going to get up to in your outdoor kitchen......
Glad you are feeling a little bit happier today after a sad day yesterday...x

  6. What cheeky little goats you have, and what a fun post.
Maybe you can train them to do some chores instead of creating more work for you.

  20. Oh I love goats and their cheeky, curious ways. I hope to have my own one day-but I'm starting to realise that will require some serious fences. Thanks for sharing your great pictures, they made me smile.
