I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

I can feel Winter coming on.

It is a sure sign that Winter is almost here...
There is a certain hum in the air...
the hum of the sewing machine in the sewing room that has laid dormant since last Winter.

The first creation.

Made with a certain young lad in mind.  It has a variety of textures and includes braid from his Great Grandma Gwen's sewing box.  The back is black and white spots coz all bubbies love to look at contrasting black and white. It has big eyes to stare into and it even rattles.

    Enjoy your sewing, it's great to have different hobbies for different times of the year. Winter and Summer are jewelry making times for me as seems there is less to do in the garden. I love your creation, a colorful fellow!

    You're obviously one of those people who can make the most of any season - even Winter. Thank goodness you've removed that countdown to winter from your header. It was making me very cranky! :)

    Mark, Of course it is washable...but Jimmy's grandma says he never pukes...ever.
