I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Yesterday's harvest

I forgot to photograph yesterday's harvest before it was in the pan on it's way to being Spaghetti Giardino.


Lazy housewife beans, heirloom carrot, capsicum, corn, red onion, garlic, daikon radish, tomato, parsley, and thyme.

    Im having separation LH bean anxiety at the moment because I pulled them out yesterday! NO MORE BEANS for me! Sad face.

    Hi Hazel I never heard of lazy housewife beans unusual name are they slow growers?
    That stir-fry looks really good I try to eat a lot of vegetables I think I must get my wok out more. By the way I love your heading photos.

    lazy housewife beans are a green climbing bean. I think they get their name from being so easy to grow. They are prolific and the beans, even if you miss them and they are quite large, are tender and stringless. Highly recommended.
