Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Just kidding around

I suppose they are really to old to be called kids any longer.
However,  their behaviour certainly earns them the title.

Bubba took the command to, 'Go bag your head', literally.

And Bad Boy Bazza, as he has become known, is always into mischief.  He will balance precariously on the trailer to reach the loquat leaves he loves.

Yesterday he somehow got himself enmeshed in the bird net on the berry house.
At one stage he was suspended upside down in the net, hammock fashion.
As I was trying to disentangle him, he was arching his head back and stretching and puckering his lips trying to get a raspberry leaf.  He really has a one track mind.

He is a gorgeous character though.  If you sit down, he comes up behind you and breathes on your neck, nibbles your hair and ears gently, smooches and nuzzles...it really feels like he is kissing you.

Is there is a name for his sort of love...humaniality?

  1. I just love your goats, Hazel! I am not sure I could cope with a little Bad Boy Bazza, though. I have enough trouble-makers as it is!

  2. Me too! I like to admire from afar. They are so very cute though - how could you not love them.

  3. Do they like cuddles too Hazel? I don't think I would be able to resist a hug or two especially when they're caught up in something looking so adorably daft.

  4. When they make up their mind that they want something, they REALLY go for it! They're tenacious! Cute, too!

  5. You don't need a TV Hazel - you have more than enough entertainment without it. Hope they stay loving as they get older.

  6. Ooo I'd love to have enough room to have some Hazel, it certainly looks as though they pay their keep tenfold in entertainment.

  8. Thought I made a comment on the goat theme earlier on, but maybe not...
I'm staying with the "goats at a distance are lovely, but" crowd - I give you my "proxy goat"... :)

  11. Ahh, gorgeous! Your goats sound like they are keeping you well entertained..can't believe how much their horns have grown!

Years ago we had a classic American sedan and unbenknownst to hubby, our goat at the time used to clambour onto the bonnet to survey her surrounds. ;)

  12. At least he didn't seem distressed by being tangled. And he does know his priorities! :)
