Hindsight is a wonderful thing...it allows us to see all our mistakes with the clear knowledge of the consequences.
Sometimes it is just one monumental error and at other times, it is a sequence of small events and misjudgements ...like these:
- Visiting my son in the U.S. in the middle of last year...when I should have been doing a chainsaw course at the Community House.
- Suggesting The Cook do the course in my absence.
- Purchasing a chainsaw.
- Encouraging her to use the chainsaw.
- Mentioning that that tree outside the lounge-room blocked the view of the ridge.
- Turning my back.
She is usually pretty neat in the kitchen so I am hoping she finishes the job cleans up this mess!
Gasp!
ReplyDeleteOh dear - big mess from little comment. It happens all the time here too.
ReplyDeleteNo way, look at the fun she is having, what a champion... I wish you could lend her out, because I've got quite a few things here that she could go slightly berko with!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you went out on a limb, and she sawed it off!
ReplyDeleteYou all live in a beautiful area! Such a wonderful stream running through there! Very pretty and relaxing atmosphere. At least when the saw isn't running...
Oh boy. The cook really learned how to use that chainsaw well. Maybe she missed the 'clean up' class :)
ReplyDeleteHazel, looks like the cleaning will be yours, hehe! :)
ReplyDeleteIs that what they mean when the instructions say "Prune hard"???
ReplyDeleteand I only thought MEN with chainsaws were dangerous....
ReplyDeleteOouu, some trim! I could do with your chainsaw! Good for stress lol.
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. Really..OH dear. Chainsaws do bare a remarkable resemblance to electric knives, don't they :O
