They really look like miniature chooks now. |
Well if you are the Cook, you rehouse them in the shower recess.
She says it will be easy to clean out after they move out.
She even gave them sticks to practice perching. |
It is the best example of repurposing she has come up with yet.
Note to self: As soon as the rain stops make arrangements for them outside. Sooner or later you will need a shower.
Worth doing
When raising chickens use kitty litter on the floor of their house.
It soaks up heaps and allows several days between cleaning.
The shower!! That's hilarious. I love the new look of your blog and the way the top picture changes.
ReplyDeleteNow that's inspired! The little darlings, my how they've grown. They'll be dating and staying out all night before you know where you are, hope you're ready for it?
ReplyDeleteThat Cook is so smart - what a wonderful solution. It must make the cats and dog furious!
ReplyDeleteI too like the top photos of the changing landscape in your neighbourhood.
Brilliant idea, in the shower and they look quite funny being not one thing or the other at the moment.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great solution! They are crazy gangly teenagers at the moment.
ReplyDeleteVery clever. I hope they keep growing so nice
ReplyDeleteHazel you gorgeous young thing, as long as they aren't in my shed I'm happy!
ReplyDeleteBut where are you showering? Skinny dipping in your creek?
I never cease to be amazed at the lengths you will go to for those little chicks! Such ingenuity (and self-sacrifice).
ReplyDeleteI'm also feeling sympathy for the wet-footed horses in your header picture today.
The cute looking birds... am definitely planning to raise some chickens in the future for their eggs and for the fun of it...
ReplyDeleteOh there are so cute. We wish we have space to keep some chooks. Incredible in the shower.
ReplyDeleteYes, very smart repurposing! And very adorable chicks!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, funny...but a great idea!
