I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Ms Iris

I noticed the friendly face of Iris poking her head up out of the garden undergrowth today.

She is a water iris with her feet firmly planted in a small pond.

Hey, today it's holoidi... I think that's how they say hello in Dutch.

Oops buggered that one up and now it's semogi. That's halfway to being a yogi.

  5. The leaves around the iris are Japanese Windflowers which grow like wonderful weeds in the garden.
