My photo
Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

6 six-day olds

What BIG feet you have little chick!

And what nice patterns you have.

You are growing lovely wings.

The cook has her eye on you!

Yes, the cook has taken a big interest in the chicks.
She says she wants them to be tame.
Chickens, being sceptical creatures know not to trust a cook.

One of them pecked her in the eye
and they all pooped down her shirt.

  1. Haha! She wants to eat them! If I thought that I could go through the process of wringing their necks and plucking them, I'd raise meat chickens... but I sincerely doubt my hunting instincts when it comes to the stone cold neck wring of a chicken. Anyway, your little eggie chickens are just lovely, such cute little balls of fluff. I hope they lay many a delicious omelet for you and the cook :)
