Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Pottager - Part 3

The pottager's paths are laid, the arbor is erected, the soil turned.  The soil is dense clay and full of roots from the hedge we pulled out.  I will add some compost and other goodies before I plant.

That dog will have to find somewhere else to sleep.

The view from under the shady tree.
Having the path go to this gap in the hedge makes more sense of the space.

I am going to make a mosaic centre where the paths meet.

The Cook's view.

I have news for Mickey the cat though. I am not planting cat mint in the pottager, no matter how many hints he drops.

  3. Hazel this just looks fantastic, you really have a great eye for garden design. I'd love to try something similar in my front yard, I'd never have that sort of idea by myself!

It's going to look so good planted out.

  4. The potager is really looking great. I too look forward to planting day to see what you have chosen for the garden. Also, the shed is looking much improved. The mayor should have opened it for you considering all the hard work you have done.

  5. Awww!Go on, don't be mean, every cat needs some catmint and catnip to rip to pieces and roll in to destruction.
    Potager looks great, well done.

  6. The arch is very pretty, what are you going to plant on it? Can't wait to see. I'm also interested to see the results of your "Goat Mix" - sounds like an easy enough project ;)
