I needed to peg down some bird netting the other day. Last time I did this I bought small tent pegs from one of those discount stores.
Today I made may own. I just used a couple of old wire coat hangers, cut and bent them into shape.
I wouldn't like to try them with a tent or in hard ground. However they are perfect for my purpose.
My dad taught me that tent pegs work best when pushed in at a 45 degree angle to the strain. These are doing a great job holding down the bottom of the net.
Good idea. I tend to use old bits of brick. Okay, it's not pretty, but who wants pretty when you need to eat?
ReplyDeleteI save all my old junk, because I know in a moment of madness I will find a way to use it!
