I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!
The angel's wings are made from a white skirt with lace inserts, and her vest is a bit of old couch cover, both from Savers. The fabric in the body was from a garage sale, the mouth is a bit of left over curtain material from another life, the button is an old old one and the braid came from my brother in law's mother's bits and pieces from when she used to sew for the Bacchus Marsh Players. The beanie is made from some left over wool from a grandson's jumper and her hair is a ball of wool I bought last week from a $2 shop. The stuffing and eyes are new.
And daughter No. 2....yes I would love some more eyes. Thanks.
A suggestion - use recycled fabrics I have a wardrobe of suitable clothes.
ReplyDeleteWant more eyes?
No. 2 daughter.
No bad dentistry for the guardian angel?
ReplyDeleteMmmmm. A bossy guardian angel with a loppy mouth?
ReplyDeleteYou are very clever Hazel!
