This gorgeous beauty just began to flower this week. No others flowered while I was away. Either I have amazing timing or they had a chat among themselves to organise it. This is my favourite so far.

- I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

The beauty looks like it is made out of icing! I have found that camelias have the ability to flower on special birthdays and anniversaries.
