Hopefully, I will manage to blog on a regular basis. I hope you enjoy following the progress of the garden.

- I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Finally....a First Post
Finally, I find time to sit down and blog. In the almost three months since we moved in a lot has happened. In that time I planted a late summer vegetable garden and we are eating beans, zucchini, tomatoes, silver beat, and potatoes from that. I have worked out how to operate the pump and the wonderful watering system that keeps the garden looking green and healthy. We have acquired a rooster and four girls. We met our first tiger snake (in the shed) and managed to usher him away safely. We have seen many beautiful birds, including a yellow faced honey-eater who made a nest near the carport and a shy family of King Parrots. The winter veggie garden is beginning to shape up and I will soon be planting a range of apple and pear trees.
