The kale is recovering from its caterpillar attack. I haven't seen any white butterflies around for a while. Maybe it is too cold. But I will not be taking the mosquito net off the cabbages, caulies, and broccoli just in case.
The broad beans and the garlic are growing along well.
I think the woodpile from the weekend's work is beautiful.
Sadly a couple of frosts last week finally put an end to any tomatoes, beans or zucchinis. I am not complaining though. It has been an amazingly long season for them.
The various onions I have planted are going well, as is the celery. I hope to get busy in the next few days, clearing out the old veggie garden and maybe planting some green manure crops. I also want to get some more winter veggies in soon as I will be going away for a month. They can take care of themselves while I am away and I will be surprised when I come home.
The hens produced two eggs again today...they are really getting into the swing of it. Brewster is 'enjoying' his female company. :-)
I also enjoy chopping wood and creating log walls. At the end of the day it is great to sit down with a beer to soothe the aches and see your achievements.
