Australia
I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Zorro - begone!

This morning I was awakened by a rooster.
That isn't so unusual.
However, this rooster was way off key.
Yes, Zorro had found his crow.
And, yes, Zorro had to go!

So he was duly bundled into the cat cage

It is good to know that Zorro has gone
to such a good home and that
I will still be able to catch up with him in Blogland.

Of course we had the mandatory tour of the garden.

Phoebe's veggie patch is recovering from the Christmas Day hail storm
and looking fabulous.

She has scarlet runner beans that Jack would be proud of.

Phoebe's asparagus made me green with envy.
Tomorrow I am going to give mine a stern talking to!

Although this is the first time I have visited Phoebe, it isn't my first visit to her gorgeous little mud-brick, slate roofed cottage.  I almost bought it in the mid-1990s.
Phoebe also tells me that at one time it was called, Hazel Cottage.
How is that for a co-incidence?
The Cook fell in love with the cottage and was rather unkind about my short-sightedness in not buying it when I had the chance.

So we left Zorro with his new harem.
I hope Phoebe and her neighbours can cope with his off-key crowing!

We didn't leave empty handed either.
I have some sweet pea seeds to dry and plant.
