I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

Crabby Grannies

It may be a bit cool and a bit wet today
but nothing much can dampen
the enthusiasm of the crab apple trees
or make them crabby.






Just as an aside...I love the ziggy-zaggy twigs on the weeping elm. 

....and the grannies...
aquilegias or granny bonnets.





How can a granny be crabby 
with so much beauty about?

    This is so nostalgic. I remembered the first time I visited your blog is a post about crab apples that is blooming in your driveway last year. Beautiful flower bloom in your garden.
