Oh Hazel! That sounds SCARY!! Glad he came to you at that point!
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar incident with a loaded trailer of bricks that pushed our car into an intersection on a red light because we couldn’t stop in time!
Oh I hear you and am glad you are ok.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby drives trucks for work and I have been a passanger with him and you would not belive how scary it is when some one decides to pull in right in front of you at the lights to get that one spot ahead. People forget that the reason the truck has a big gap in front of them as they pull up to the lights is that they need that space to stop.
Opps was not supposed to be a rant and am sure a stiff drink or stong cuppa is what you need.
Hazel, you are so "multi-skilled"! If you lived in England, I'm sure you would drive one of those little white vans...
ReplyDeleteGo Hazel! Glad you got out of the situation so well. That would be scary, and one of the reasons why I don't tow anything unless it is totally unavoidable. I'm a big scaredy cat after a few incidents with a horse float. cheers Wendy
ReplyDeletePhew. Breathe deeply. Hope the heart rate has slowed...
ReplyDeleteAmazing what we remember when we need to, even if it was from your ex-husband. Glad you're ok.
ReplyDelete30 year old ex...ex from 30 years ago..ex that you had for 30 years either way that was scarey..
ReplyDeleteI'm a non driver anything that is slightly bumpy, fast, swayy-ish etc scares me but nothing more than an EX
Eek!! Scary. Glad you're ok. I see that kitchen progress is underway!
ReplyDeleteHazel, big loads are dangerous, I remember my husband jack knifed the trailer on an over pass with a trailer full of sleepers...he put his dads old torana on its side..please be careful with future loads...we need to see this kitchen , not you hurt......x
ReplyDeleteHang on - the scary part was the ex husband's voice, not the life threatening situation, wasn't it??
ReplyDeleteI have (way, way, way back when I was fun) an ex-husband stashed away somewhere (not the father of my children, and thank GOD for that!), but he was French, so at least along with the scary voice I'd get a hot accent.
Euwww... you poor thing Hazel :) Please do be careful with your trailer, I need to see your kitchen done so that I can pinch your ideas :)
VERY SCARY!! hearing EX'S voice!!
ReplyDeletebut glad to hear all is well, Bailey's in coffee is very good for occasions like these.(lots of bailey's)
I had to come back and say THANK YOU for making me giggle all over the place tonight, I've been doing some blog reading and keep.seeing.your.comments.popping.up and it just makes me laugh again to see them! Will you treat yourself to a new keyboard do you think? What if you really do need. to. make. a. point??? It would read totally differently to say need...to...make...a...point...but oh so very funny!!!! LOL!
