I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!
Ooo I am important, a whole post dedicated to me me me! And perhaps the flowers too :D
So now that you have got the colour right I can admire your beautiful camellias! The inner part is really quite magnificent and I can see why you are enjoying taking photos of them... do they have a name?? Mud Pie Red??? Red Ali?? Awesome Ali? Oh hang on, back to the flowers.
Oh, thank goodness it really is a flower - the first picture had me bracing myself for an enlarged florally pic of a chook's bottom or other some such. Very pretty indeed (as would still be the case if it was another chooks bottom.. lol!)
What variety is that? Camellias grow wonderfully well in my yard. We have 2 in the neighborhood that are over 100 years old - the size of trees. I've never seen one like your pictures, wonder where I could order one?
Love, love camelias. Unfortunately they don't do too well where I live. Maybe I should try one somewhere in my garden anyway. Haven't seen one like this before...beautiful. Maa

ReplyDeleteWow, we don't have camelias like that here, love how the centre is so sculpted and layered and the outside and so flat and smooth.
