I know what you mean....I felt the same.....
Every day the crises just worsens ... I'm just keeping fingers crossed for family living in Brisbane!
Feeling the same here Hazel, don't feel like posting on my blog while all this devastation is unfolding.
You are right Hazel, it is awful... sometimes I get so sick of the human race, we are such awful destructive people, cruel and greedy.. but then we see tragedy and people pulling together and risking themselves and what they have for others... it makes me believe in the basic goodness of human beings.Besides, I want to see your beautiful garden, I've got not one vegetable growing, mine is a mud pie!
It's been really sad seeing all the coverage on the news here. My heart especially goes out to those trapped on cars and rooftops. I really hope the flooding subsides soon! It seems that Mother Nature is fighting back these days...Is this close to where you are Hazel?
Fortunately I live way way south of Queensland, down in Central Victoria. I have lived here for a year, moving into the community AFTER the devastating bushfires in 2009. I am constantly made aware of the ongoing effects of trauma and its effect on a community. You would understand with all the shaking going on in your neck of the woods. The initial shock is devastating, but then communities have to deal with the results.
oh i hear ya's its just awefull im here in tassie but have been glued to the tv ,crying my eyes out at times for the lifes lost that can not be replaced :-( it makes you hug your own children just that little bit harder and longer !!
Sad news Hazel :(We have a few friends from Brisbane way and still waiting to hear from some of them, hopefully they're ok.
What can I say that hasn't already been said? Just wanted to let you know that people all round the world are thinking of what is happening in Australia right now. Those of us who moaned about a little bit of snow a couple of weeks ago are now feeling humble and counting ourselves lucky that we got off so lightly.
The flood news have been on many TV news in Japan. I feel sorry for the devastating situation in your country.
Be strong Hazel. You Australians are a tough nation - you will build something better out of the devastation. Thinking of you all.
Thanks to everyone for their kind comments.
Hazel it's so nice to meet you :) I am watching the tragedy everyday on tv. I hope and pray this will end soon. My bad English don't help to express my feelings... Take care, Foivi
I have been watching the coverage...and am familiar with Bush Bernie and a few other bloggers that have become dear to my heart....I hope you all get through this safely...it is so awful and I want to say that I will be praying for you all...hugs from Canada...
