I ran away from teaching to the country to grow veggies. There are also some chooks and a pair of troublesome goats who were so much trouble they had to go! My simple green life isn't always as simple or as green as I'd like...but I keep trying!

The hand of Edna?

OK, here is another plant for you to identify. I think it could be a gladioli - hence the reference to Edna (Everage). But my Mum (who is also an Edna) reckons it is a flag iris. What do you think?

    mmmm......I am tending to agree with Edna...think it may be an iris. The leaves look similar to some that are in my garden and an iris flower grew last season. It was a blue purple colour.
