I am very...Thank you for all your lovely comments. I am very happy with the potager.

Farm Girl: The sage is perrenial...I chose it because it will be one of the constant things in the garden as I change the annuals. I have experimented and dried a little. It worked well, so I am planning on giving it a haircut very soon. Keep tuned, I will blog about it. LOL.

Mark, You are right, the Cook loves the potager. I was thinking I wanted to add annuals as climbers to the arch..but something permanent like a honeysuckle could work too. I would have to keep it trimmed though. Hops...mmmm..will look into that.

Jeanette Anne: Apart from the intitial soil preparation, I have not fed this bed. But as Daffodil said, it has been a mild and very moist year here, so that has helped.

Theanne: Welcome! I was thrilled to receive Mark's award. You are right, Television is rubbish. I love the radio and I use the internet if I need to follow something in the news.Hazelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16577208643431414375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3244931229580757973.post-13221959281459224142011-02-08T08:59:53.333+11:002011-02-08T08:59:53.333+11:00The camera appears to be working well. The camera appears to be working well.cookiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18322745551940295483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3244931229580757973.post-5271612419079326132011-02-08T06:37:15.078+11:002011-02-08T06:37:15.078+11:00Hazel, I think you have interpreted the term potag...Hazel, I think you have interpreted the term potager perfectly - a great balance between the edible and the ornamental. Many chefs would just LOVE to have those herbs outside the door of their kitchen! The archway is ideal too - it adds the height that the other bits lack; if it were mine I'd probably grow a Golden Hop on it, or perhaps a fragrant honeysuckle.Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3244931229580757973.post-82576174193947351482011-02-08T02:22:41.142+11:002011-02-08T02:22:41.142+11:00Congratulations for receiving Mark's Award! It wasn't difficult to give up the TV...I'd grown absolutely weary of most of what was on there...HGTV was about the only thing I watched with any consistency! Look forward to visiting your blog in the future!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3244931229580757973.post-38252523979885673192011-02-07T22:30:37.662+11:002011-02-07T22:30:37.662+11:00Isn't gardening satisfying - it's lovely.Isn't gardening satisfying - it's lovely.Sue Garretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164518448098182276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3244931229580757973.post-59401052816331702832011-02-07T21:19:46.282+11:002011-02-07T21:19:46.282+11:00What a beautiful result! What a beautiful result!Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06263430746482725687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3244931229580757973.post-20847801113938835202011-02-07T21:12:00.677+11:002011-02-07T21:12:00.677+11:00Oh Hazel!
